More Fox Updates

Here are some pictures we took at the parade on White Bear for the Ramsey County Fair. Fox had so much fun he got worn out and fell asleep in the midst of the action!

Fox is eating baby food now. So far, he just does rice cereal (and milk). His first meal was Wednesday, when uncle Jerod, aunt Jacque, and uncle Jon were here. We got some good video of that. These pics were taken Thursday during his second meal. Here he is with a sticky, messy face:

And the process:

He seems to be taking to food really well. Also, this past week we went to a wedding (Joe was an usher and reader). Here are some pictures from that. I have a feeling that for a while, most pictures are going to have either me or Joe in them, but not usually both of us.

Christmas, Independance Day, and cousins

Fox had his first 4th of July and his first Christmas all in the same week. Who knew? Anyway, here are some pics of him at the parade in Afton.

At the Christmas party in Sauk Centre, Fox got some Christmas money. Here he is clutching his five dollar bill greedily.

And here is is wearing a hat--I think a hat belonging to Uncle Jon, since Aunt Jacque is holding him.

Fox is no longer the littlest McKinnon. My cousin Kate had a baby (I think June 22). Here are some pics from when Fox and I met little AJ when he was 5 days old. He's very small and cute. Fox liked him a lot.

And this is just a cute picture. I took this when I was trying to get Fox to roll over for the video camera. He just learned how to roll from back to tummy. He is doing it all the time now. He's very skillful.

Another Big Day

Today, Fox got to go on more adventures. We went to Minnepolis and visited the 2007 Pride Festival (which he slept through). After that, we went to the sculpture garden, and took Fox's 5 month pictures by Spoon Bridge and Cherry, where we always love to visit (and where we got engaged). Here are some of those pictures:

Fun, games, and zoos

This week, I started a new parenting blog called Cruelty-Free Mommy. Feel free to check it out. It may or may not interest you, depending on how much you like to read people's opinions on raising babies.

Here are some pics Joe took of Fox this morning. He wanted me to post them both as proof to everyone that Fox smiles a lot.

Here is Fox wearing his super-cool new shades. They have a stretchy strap that goes around the back of his head, and they should fit until he is 2. I am excited, because they have UV proptection. And Fox will be happy, too, because although he love to look at lights, he hates the bright sunlight and squints and/or sneezes in the slightest bit of sun.

Here is Fox playing the Moses game with Joe. The game is where we put Fox in a laundry basket, push him back and forth and say, "Moses! Are you having fun in the river, Moses?" It's more fun than it sounds. We all chuckle away.

And here are pictures of our trip to Como Zoo this week. As you can see, Fox has grown much since our last visit to Como. Nobody stopped us to take Fox's picture, but people did call him cute. Of course!!

Sorry about the recent lapse in posts. Rather than make excuses, I will just put lots of pics on for people to enjoy today.

A couple weeks ago, we had a party for Fox so Joe's extended family could meet him and give him presents. It was lots of fun, and he is enjoying playing with all his new toys.

Here is a picture from during the party:

Hanging out with the guys:

Fox and GG Farm:

And with godfather/uncle Jerod:

Here we all are, including Grampa and Great-Grama and -Grampa:

And just the three of them. They seemed to like him a lot. Not that I am surprised!

After meeting everyone, Fox was in very good spirits.

He was surprised how cute he looked in his new pooh hat from Elizabeth and Zach:

And now he's Mr. Cool.

Fox has really big feet. They aren't super wide, but they are long. He just got these sandals, and they are already almost too small. His toes are close to coming out the front end, and the straps left indentations. But he will wear them while he can, since he looks so cute in them!

And I just had to throw in this cute post-bath pic. Adorable!

Coming soon: pictures of Fox's second trip to Como Zoo.

Fox has a new place to play, and he's happy about it.He also has some new friends.
He's full of smiles and secrets.
Tall and stretching.
Fox loves to look up at leaves.

Fox has been teething, so his mood has been a bit sour; he seems to be happy again now though.

His favorite book is Dr. Seuss's Hop on Pop (as Homer Simpson says, "It was so tragic the way they hopped on Pop").

Oh what a difference 14 weeks make! Here is Fox at 3 weeks--skinny and hairy, and at 17 weeks, chubby (or more so at least) and nearly bald. I had heard about babies losing their hair, but I just never thought it would happen to Fox.

I like to call this Fox's "Who the heck are you and what the heck are you doing?" expression.

Fox is enjoying Tummy Time a little more now, but he is still being stubborn about rolling over.

Fox really likes to be outside. Here is a picture of him and Daddy on Saturday when they kept Mommy company in the garden. He had lots of fun staring up at the tree.
