The cast is off! And other new pics

Here is Pacey, amidst a bunch of puzzle pieces, chewing on his hand. He is chewing on his hand to experiment with his... NEW TOOTH! That's right, Pacey has a tooth! Not even 6 months old yet, and he is ready to eat raw carrots. Practically. I tried to get a picture of the tooth, but that is not possible. So, this is the best tooth shot I could get!

Here is Fox practicing standing up. He's had his cast off for 4 days, and he still can't stand on his own, but we are working on it.

Ready for winter fun!

Brotherly love!

Here is Fox, getting the cast off. He was very brave even though it was scary and painful.

On the way to get the cast off! This is the horrible "car restraint" system we don't need to use anymore.
Pacey at bathtime!
Here is Pacey with the new baby blanket I made for him. I modeled it after my own baby blanket my mom made for me when I was 6. I still have mine, though it is in ragged strips now. I hope Pacey's brings him some comfort like mine has brought me.

Here is Pacey as a Halloween Wild Thing. Fox says, "Pacey is having a rumpus!"

More brother time:

Happy Fox.
Pacey in his Halloween costume. He's a peapod, not a Christmas tree or a dragon, like some people thought!

And here he is in his baby snowsuit.

Hanging out in his exersaucer. Love those pudgy legs!

Three buddies: Fox, Pacey, and Wyatt (Becky and Chris's baby)

 Pacey and his BFF, Wyatt.

Pacey and Daddy, bonding during tummy time:

Fox is a puzzle whiz now. I guess when you can't move for a month, you find ways to entertain yourself. Fox has taken up the art of puzzles and letters.

Fox is a construction worker. Just go with it.

Pacey wiggled out of his pants during a nap. Must have had some good dreams!

Here is Fox in his cast. I don't miss it at all, by the way.

Pacey zoned out.

State Fair, Vikings fun, and broken bones

Recently we took a trip to the State Fair. Here are some pics of the boys (mostly Fox) enjoying the festivities, like Little Farm Hands, the miracle of birth and the tractors.

We had fun with Grama and Grampa Fischer before the Vikings first game. Brett Favre calls Fox a lot on his toy phone. Pacey has been smiling a lot lately, as you can see.

Pacey started eating solids (rice cereal). He eats too much milk for me to keep up with him! He seems to like cereal fine, but I bet when he tries bananas we will get a stronger reaction!

Pacey is mesmerized!

Fox likes to wear bows and headbands. He's so cute! What a smile!

And here is proof that even injured, he has kept his sunny personality.

As you can see, Fox is in a pretty big cast. He broke his leg (right femur) Sunday the 20th at the carnival at church. He went down an inflatable slide and his leg caught behind him and twisted. But he's a trooper! His cast goes from his belly button to the toes of his broken leg and just down to above the knee on the other leg. He won't be able to walk or anything until the cast is off. He has to have a special harness for the car, and he will not be able to ride in the car with Pacey, because they both will not fit in the backseat with the new harness system. He's in pain, but he assures us that he's ok and we shouldn't worry.

August in a Nutshell

Above: Pacey has been enjoying his new toy: the exersaucer! It was Fox's favorite for a long time. Below: Fox and Joe at Minnehaha Falls. We were there for the first time this weekend for a New Parent Connection picnic.

Here are the other mommies and babies from New Parent Connection who were able to be at the picnic, back row then front: Angie with Leah, Lindsey with Eddie, Becky with Wyatt, Anne with Elise, me with Pacey, and Katrina with Isabella. Dads, Fox, and another little boy (Timmy) were also there.

Fox is doing tummy time with Pacey!

Joe and Pacey, hanging out on the couch:

I have been making car rides more fun by taking dozens of silly pics. I took this one backward over my seat without looking, but it turned out really cute.

At Underwater Adventures, Fox played in the touch pool. But he didn't want to touch anything that was alive.

Pacey has been learning how to blow bubbles with his drool:

More tummy time!

We went to Afton Apple to pick raspberries, and Fox posed with the bus:

They also had a petting zoo. Here is Pacey with a goat:

And Fox feeding a different goat:

Pacey had a good view from the sling:

Fox put on his sunglasses by himself. "I do it myself!" is his new motto.

He even got to make his own pita pizza:

Walking around Phalen, eating cookies!

Pacey and I hung out with my grama for her 87th birthday. It was fun!

We also hung out at the Fischer house, playing in the sun:

Here are the boys with Great Grama Farm at Christmas in August:

My boys:

We went to a KC Chiefs practice. Fox insisted it was the Vikings (or Bikings, as he calls them).

That's it for now. Hopefully I will have more pics soon. I went back to work today, but hopefully the family fun times can continue.

Tons of new pics

Sorry! I didn't realize it had been so long. Here are several new pics. Here is Fox playing in the sprinkler. He enjoyed trying to eat the water and also washing my car.

Fox likes to pretend to feed Pacey.

Pacey likes to suck on his hands.

Fox plays in Bella's new kennel:

Fox, Pacey, and Josh:

Hello, Pacey!

Here is Fox after a few too many beers.

Fox likes to play with the laundry. Here he is pretending to be a dirty sock.

Fox met "mommy's gopher" at the White Bear parade.

Yay! Our friends Becky and Chris had their baby, Wyatt, on July 4th. Here he is with Pacey--bff's!

July 4th pics! It rained mid-day, but we enjoyed it anyway. Saw a parade and lots of cool fireworks!

We've been taking Fox and Pacey on college tours. Here we are in River Falls:

ok, so none of those were actually on campus. Too bad so sad! Here is Pacey on his 2 month birthday:

More college visits: exploring the student center at MSU-Moorhead:

Fun sign at MSU:

Concordia in Moorhead:

And NDSU in Fargo:

Fargodome! We were being tourists.

In Fargo, Fox saw a train car and a big truck:

And here is Fox dancing w/grama at the wedding that brought us to Fargo/Moorhead. We traveled the entirety of interstate 94 in MN in 4 days time!

and Pacey being cute! Smile, Pacey!

Here are lots of pics. I must be brief--evidently life w/2 kids leaves little/no time for a mom to blog. A dad, on the other hand...

Here we are at Kiah and Beth's wedding. Fox had fun dancing.

Joe and Pacey:

So cute!

Pacey and his new boppy:

We went strawberry picking and came back with 14 lbs!

Pace and Fox and Friends
